​Infants Class (Crickets, Sweet Potato Bugs & Banana Slugs)
Infants are babies between the ages of 3-24 months. This program has been designed to allow for individual schedules such as specific feeding , sleeping and diapering times. The staff to child ratio for this class is 1:4. Staff who teach in the infant program are in excellent communication with families throughout the day to ensure families and staff work together for best daily outcome. We utilize a secure app for seamless communication, messaging, photo/video sharing, billing etc. Our infant programs are located at our El Camino & Carlmont Locations only.
Toddler Class (Young Toddlers~Butterflies, Busy Bees & Monarchs/Old Toddlers~Caterpillars & Honey Bees)​
Toddlers are young children between the ages of 18 months up to 36 months old. Children in this class can be too old for infants, but not quite ready for preschool. This is a two-step program. Butterflies, Busy Bees and Monarchs are intended for younger toddlers, while the older toddlers are better suited for Caterpillars and Honey Bees.. Caterpillars or Honey Bees should be 2 years old by September 1st. Potty training typical happens when children are in these two groups. Happy Campers Teachers use a high quality curriculum specializing in Early Childhood Education, providing age appropriate lesson plans and themes. Our curriculum meets or exceeds California State Learning Standards for this age group in several areas of learning through a variety of proven methods that encourage young learners to participate and succeed in the areas of basic math (counting, sorting), language & literary (building vocabulary through rhymes, songs and reading), and art (building small motor skills while having lots of fun!).. The ratio for these groups is 1:6 in young toddlers and approximately 1:8 in older toddlers. These programs are located at Happy Campers Infant Toddler Center and Happy Campers Preschool only.
Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten Class (Beetles, Grasshoppers, Dragonflies & Fireflies)
​Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten, known as Beetles, Grasshoppers, Dragonflies and Fireflies, is where all the action happens and appeals to curious, energy filled, fun loving children who are ages 3-5 years. We offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that ensures proper preparation for Kindergarten and beyond. Happy Campers Teachers use a high quality curriculum specializing in Early Childhood Education, providing age appropriate lesson plans and themes. Our curriculum meets or exceeds California State Learning Standards for this age group in several areas of learning including but not limited to: math, science, language arts/writing, art and dramatic play to challenge young minds. We aim to build confidence and independence with lots of tries. We believe in your child's ability to succeed and will work hard to help them along the way. Even with all of this, we leave the door open for spontaneity because children this age have great and grand ideas that deserve to be heard, explored and celebrated..
