Philosophy and Vision

Our Philosophy

At Happy Campers we focus on promoting developmental skills, positive self-esteem, self-confidence, self-discipline and interactive communication skills to ensure each child's positive growth.  We believe children are "their own person" and treat each child as an individual, while providing care in a group setting.  We also strongly believe in "Fun Learning."  We want children to have fun while learning and interacting with other children.  We believe in a flexible, balanced curriculum.  This, we feel, is one of our strongest abilities.  Our staff has found the balance between good solid fun and good solid preschool academics.  We know children learn best in an environment providing developmentally appropriate activities.  Our program is designed around fun themes so that learning goals are not only enjoyable, they are attainable.

Our Vision

An inviting place where children can feel safe and confident in their environment while learning and playing; where children feel loved and appreciated for their individuality; where children can explore and create their world.

A place where all families feel at home, are confident in our program, feel comfortable to ask questions, have opportunities to get involved, feel a sense of community and constantly feel supported.

A place where Early Childhood Educators are appreciated daily, empowered and confident; where they are encouraged to think outside the box and are always positive and optimistic.  A place where colleagues have positive exchanges, supportive of each other and have regular opportunities for professional development.

"Play is the highest form of research."

                    ~Albert Einstein

"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning.  But for children, play is serious learning.  Play is really the work of childhood."

                          ~Fred Rogers

"Children want the same things we want.  To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained, and delighted."

                                  ~Dr. Seuss
