About us

Happy Campers has been voted the Family Favorite Winner by Bay Area Parent several times--In 2014 we were named the Silver Medal Winner!  The Grech Family established Happy Campers, Inc. in 1993.  Happy Campers started as a family daycare in Foster City, CA and after three years moved the little daycare to a large center in San Carlos, CA in 1996.  We opened our doors with one student and now we serve approximately 150 families with children ages three months to five years on a daily basis.  We are very proud of all we have accomplished and that we provide a unique program serving a wide variety of ages.  In recent years, we have expanded our program twice.  In 2013, we opened Happy Campers Infant toddler center and in 2017, we were chosen to open on the Carlmont High School campus--a true honor.

 

Our Executive Director, Audra Tsivikas, co-founded Happy Campers with her parents John and Angela Grech.  Audra has worked in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years.  In 2014, Audra received a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Audra also graduated from California State University at Hayward, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  She also holds an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education.  As owners, John and Angela had the love and drive it took to create our award-winning, successful program. They are dedicated business owners who share the responsiblities of operating our program.  Also a part of the Happy Campers team is their son Christopher, who serves as our administrative assistant and maintenance engineer.  It is an understatement to say Happy Campers means so much to all of us.
